"THE BEAUTY OF A WOMAN IS NOT A FACIAL MODE BUT THE TRUE BEAUTY IN A WOMAN IS REFLECTED IN HER SOUL."

Beauty Essentials When Travelling

During this time of the year people travel, a lot. Its the best time to gett away from the cold winters to warm beaches. I love it! However, sometimes, I tend to be a bit forgetful and I lose some of my go-to items. So, in order to prevent that from happening in the future, I've created my ultimate makeup & beauty travel essential list! This time you can get to your little paradise without forgetting your favorite nude lipstick! Or how about you confidently check into your hotel knowing that you will be able to resist their mini size shampoos because this time you brought your own? Best feeling ever.

What I Recommend

Cleanser

You can't go anywhere without a good cleanser. I usually carry micellar water with me and a few face wipes or cotton balls. I reach for face wipes during my drive or the flight, but once I get to my destination I thoroughly clean my skin with my cleanser and cotton balls.

Moisturizer

My skin tends to dry out easily, especially after long flights and rides, and definitely during this cold weather. That is why I always have to bring a hydrating and nourishing moisturizer. I usually travel with mini packaging since I find them to be very practical when storing, and I can go through the entire pack and leave the bottle at the hotel.

Eye Cream

Women in their 30's should always carry an eye cream and apply it during the night. Also, don't forget a sunscreen. Although it is winter and you can't spot the sun I still believe that it should be your essential. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean that it isn't there, you know? If you are not in the mood for some sunscreen then at least purchase a foundation that contains an SPF.

Foundation

Besides having an SPF, your foundation should also have some luminosity. Stay away from matte products and enjoy the lightweight yet dewy product on top of your skin. Also, I recommend bringing your holy grail foundation instead of a concealer. I am quite forgetful when it comes to concealer, so I only stick with a good base.

Setting Powder

Bring along something that is lightweight and easy to apply. Don't use translucent powders, and make sure that your powder suits your skin type. I usually travel with a lightweight pressed powder and 4-5 brushes tops! One for the foundation, other for bronzer or blush, third for powder and I have 2 brushes for my shadows.

Blush & Bronzer

I love both, but if your makeup bag is small and you are running out of space stick to one out of these two. Some women look way better with peachy cheeks while others look lovely with a glowy bronzed complexion.

Mascara

I always have a waterproof mascara laying around. This is a must for everyone in my opinion. Just make sure that the formula is smudge-proof since you will be needing it during these colder days, all the heavy wind, rain & snow.

Shadow Pot

No reason for heavy shadow pallets in my opinion. Instead, stick to a shadow quad or just one simple shadow. You will save so much space with these, and you will love the monochromatic and simple makeup look when traveling.

Eyebrows

I like to trim and pluck my brows one day before I'm about to head out to my destination. This makes my life so much easier, and all I have to do once I get to my destination is comb them through with a bit of a tinted brow gel. Brow gel will hold them for hours to come while also giving them some visible color payoff.

Lips

Lip balm is essential! Besides the lip balm, I also love to bring 2-3 lip pencils and 2-3 lipsticks. No reason for lip glosses or liquid lipsticks, something simple and easy to apply is the solution. Bring 2 nudes and a statement color with you (pink, red, purple), and apply a different color every other day.

Hair

Lastly, my advice when it comes to hair care products is:

1. Never forget your hair brush

2. Bring your favorite shampoo and conditioner

3. Dry shampoo is a must

All of these items should be in a mini size since they are a lot more practical to travel with.
