When you visit a salon, there are things you should know to stay on your best beauty behavior.
                         
The rule at most salons is tip 5% to 20% for the total cost to your colorist and stylist. Of course,

If it’s a low cost and high turnaround salon, you aren’t expected to tip the same amount.
                         
If you are unhappy with your results from the salon then communicate this to your hair stylist as diplomatically as possible. Patience and flexibility are the key. Color reversals may require multiple treatments over time.
                         
If you have to cancel your appointment, you should provide at least 48 hours notice. Not showing up is never acceptable. It’s important you arrive on time for your appointment and even 15 minutes early just to be safe. It helps to know what you want and have images for inspiration but be realistic.
